In 2015 ITL Group celebrated its 20th birthday, with a memorable party in one of the most important factories in Hungary, Zwack Unicum, a family-run company founded in 1790, a brand and a product. We asked Alessandro Farina, ITL Group founder, to tell us more about that celebration.
“During the 25th anniversary of ITL Group I was asked to mark my memories on the 20th-anniversary celebration. It was a blast from the past, especially when beautiful memories guide it. I am always happy to do so, and therefore I have not made myself pray twice on the subject..
We have to go back to 2015. It was a memorable evening, perfectly organized by my collaborators at the historic headquarters of Zwack Unicum, which I wanted for the scent of history that each brick emanates … in addition to the scent of its wonderful bitters.
In the photo, we are in its “heart” of one of the most important factories in Hungary, Zwack Unicum, where Unicum was born, with Sandor Zwack, chairman of the company which invented the famous herbal bitter.
ITL Group has chosen to celebrate its first twenty years within the walls of a family-run company with a history of more than one hundred years, which also had an Italian interlude in Tuscany.
For once, I was “leader and guest” at the same time. Exciting surprises were reserved for me throughout the evening, starting with a film that traced the previous twenty years in images. When I had to give my thank you speech, I was excited and I had the famous “lump in my throat”… but it was the culmination of my dream, my moment of true glory, thanks to all of them.
I think moments like these are truly worth all the hard work done in previous years. They represent the imprint that I am determined to leave for posterity by transmitting the ethical and creative values I believe in and which I always see respected in ITL Group.
For ITL Group these first twenty years represent the beginning and development of an adventure that at the same time tells of another success, that of Italian companies in Hungary, a dimension that today counts more than 2700 companies.
