OUR LATEST SOLIDARITY INITIATIVES

Cover Iniziative Solidali

Since the war in Ukraine began, various institutions, companies and even Hungarian families have offered their support to those affected by the effects of the conflict.

Important aid was also offered by the community of ITL Group that decided to activate a solidarity network of aid from the beginning of the outbreak of war: “we are hosting a Ukrainian family (grandmother, mother and daughter) who came to Hungary like so many other families in this period, without a roof or a destination to go to… They will be our guests for as long as they need to put their lives back together

The scenes that we have been following since the beginning are marked by terror, danger and bombs, and this is why we must work with commitment, solidarity, love and above all support for our neighbours in Ukraine.

Offering hospitality is not the only commitment we are showing : in collaboration with the “Rotary Club“, we will finance the studies of three young students. Through this organization the children of the “Invisible School” Currently living in temporary homes will be able to participate in a summer camp. The summer camp is mainly managed by Krisztof Kovacs, incoming president and supported by the Board and the project committee.

The summer camp will take place from the month of July 2022 for 5 days a week. Every student in the school will be followed by a mentor in their daily activities, completely free of charge, Mentors will help students of all ages, from elementary school to university, in all school subjects.

Students in the program are children from local temporary family homes in Debrecen and Budapest. There are 9 different houses in the program and more than 70 students study together with their mentors each week.

Given the terrible events that are spreading in neighbouring Ukraine, these days the board of Unindustria Hungary – the association that supports the Italian business community – has come into contact with representatives of Ukrainian institutions in Budapest, with the aim of understanding the best possible form of support.

ITL Group joining “Unindustria Hungary” has also decided to offer support in terms of medicines, needed for thousands of injured.

Unindustria Hungary has identified a non-profit company, owned by an Associate, that will receive possible financial contributions from all those who want to help Ukraine concretely.

ITL Group has not backed down, neither as a company, nor as a workplace made up of numerous collaborators,. In fact, it has offered its premises to offer a safe home, support for the purchase medicines and a future to many children and young people. It has decided to get involved with its own reception systems and is still continuing to gather support for other members of the Ukrainian communities that may unfortunately still need help.

The Ukrainian Cultural Institute, which is currently working to manage humanitarian aid, has confirmed that refugees entering Hungary are assisted in an exemplary manner by the Hungarian Institutions, the municipalities and volunteering associations: they receive daily support in terms of food and housing availability.

In order to do all this well, it takes a little patience because bureaucratic issues might slow the efforts down, but we all need to get involved if we really want to make a significant gesture. It is important to directly help those affected by the war still present in the nation, because the incessant bombing is creating a real humanitarian emergency.
