- Monday, March 14, 2022, will be non-working to bridge the gap with Tuesday, March 15 (a public holiday commemorating the Revolution of 1848). In exchange, Saturday, March 26 will be a working day.
- Monday, October 31, 2022, will be non-working to bridge the gap with Tuesday, November 1 (All Saints’ Day). In exchange, Saturday, October 15, 2022, will be a working day.
- If employees do not wish to work on Saturday, March 26 or Saturday, October 15, they can always request a day off from their employer.
In conclusion, the calendar of public holidays is as follows:
- New Year’s Day: Saturday, January 1, public holiday
- Revolution of 1848: Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15, public holidays, but in exchange, Saturday, March 26 is a working day
- Easter: Good Friday, April 15, a public holiday. Easter Monday, April 18, public holiday
- Labor Day: Sunday, May 1: public holiday
