Confindustria Hungary invites you to its inaugural first event

Confindustria Hungary is pleased to announce the launch of the event series titled “The new gateway for a pan-European industrial development.”

This exclusive event, which will take place in Debrecen on the 2nd of June 2023, marks the beginning of a promising initiative aimed at fostering industrial growth and strengthening ties between Italian and Hungarian businesses.

With an impressive nearly four-fold increase in the total area of industrial parks in the past five years, Debrecen has emerged as a key player in European industrial development. Recognizing the city’s potential, Confindustria Hungary has chosen Debrecen as the venue for the inaugural event.

The conference, scheduled for June 2, will provide valuable insights into the projected industrial development trends in Eastern Europe, particularly in Hungary, in the years to come. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the industrial landscape and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Program and Speakers

The conference will be opened by Dr. Roberto Massucco, President of Confindustria Hungary. Dr. Maria Luisa Meroni, President of Confindustria East Europe, will then share her experience and knowledge of the industrial landscape. The event will also be honored by the presence of László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen.

After the introduction and institutional greetings, Rita Szép-Tüske, Deputy CEO and Robert Heffner, Senior investment promotion expert with a special focus on Mergers and Acquisition from the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) will discuss investment opportunities in Hungary. Zoltán Pécskay, Managing Director of EDC Debrecen Urban and Economic Development Center, will then speak about economic development and the growth of Debrecen. The final session of the day will focus on financial support for internationalization strategies of businesses, featuring Alessandro Paoli, Head of UniCredit International Center Italy, and Andrea D’Alessandro, Head of International Center at UniCredit Bank Hungary.

Raffaele Langella, Director of International Affairs for Confindustria, will conclude the event, highlighting the importance of the project “The new gateway for a pan-European industrial development” and its upcoming milestones.
