We had the pleasure of interviewing Barbara Ács again, Operations, Sales and Marketing manager of Vagheggi Hungary, a company that stands out not only for its success in the phytocosmetics sector but also for its attention to sustainability and business ethics.
Since our 2020 interview, Vagheggi has consolidated its position in the Hungarian market, expanding its reach into the B2C market with new initiatives including the new “Beauty Care Earth Care” campaign, an English-language website, increasingly innovative and sustainable packaging improvements, and the introduction of the Face Skin Analyser, an innovative professional device for a 3D facial skin check-up that analyzes skin imperfections using advanced scientific and digital image processing.
Additionally, the company has seen a significant increase in its male clientele, demonstrating its ability to adapt and attract a more diverse audience. The map below shows the countries where Vagheggi is available today.
1. What are Vagheggi’s new developments for 2024?
This year, we decided to launch the “Beauty Care Earth Care” campaign, which reveals everything behind our products, highlighting Vagheggi’s commitment to sustainability, environmental protection, and the explanation of natural products.
From March, each month we choose a specific topic and explore it in depth. We have also introduced an in-store game with small gifts for participants and promotions related to the themes covered. (We invite you to read our article on the campaign)
2. Why did Vagheggi choose not to display the “cruelty-free” symbol despite all products being “cruelty-free”?
We explained that our products do not carry the “cruelty-free” logo because it is prohibited in the European Union to test both finished products and their components on animals. Our products are researched, developed, tested, and manufactured in Italy, within the EU, which already guarantees they cannot be tested on animals; hence, we did not feel the need to reiterate it.
3. What sustainable materials has Vagheggi used for packaging?
Since 2022, Vagheggi has further improved its product packaging by using materials such as FSC-certified paper and plastic derived from sugar fermentation, as well as colors free from harmful substances.
We explained the reasons for these choices through the stories of our estheticians, who have shown enthusiasm and confirmed the importance of sustainable packaging for our customers.
4. What does the “I Love Corals” logo obtained by Vagheggi for its sun products certify?
Vagheggi has obtained the “I Love Corals” logo, certifying that the products are safe for the marine ecosystem. This certification arises from the need to protect corals in protected areas. It also attests to greater skin safety, thanks to the use of biodegradable materials and the development of lighter, more easily absorbable formulas.
5. Besides training and sales, what do you offer in the showroom?
Among the consultancy activities offered in our XIII district showroom, in addition to esthetician training, the complete skin analysis using a dedicated diagnostic machine stands out. Based on the personalized analysis results obtained with this facial device, it will be possible to choose the most suitable Vagheggi treatments and technologies according to specific and targeted needs.
6. What is Vagheggi’s mission?
Our mission is to ensure that every customer receives products tailored to their needs, supported by advice from both our blog and our experts, to ensure maximum satisfaction, customer loyalty, and a positive impact on the environment.
